How to choose the right food packaging supplier

Sydney Packaging has been a leading supplier of disposable food packaging in Sydney for over 30 years. In that time, we’ve learnt a thing or two about what our customers need and how to keep them happy. So what should you look for when choosing a food packaging supplier?

Let’s start with service. Firstly, you need someone who understands your business and possesses the knowledge and experience to suggest products that are right for you.
Secondly, once you’ve worked out what you need, you want it to show up when you expect it. Product knowledge and customer service from your supplier are crucial so you can focus on your business without surprises.
Next, we’ll take a look at price. Is cheapest the best? In a word, no. Cheap prices go hand-in-hand with poor quality products and even poorer service. It’s all well and good to save a few bucks, but if the product doesn’t turn up when you need it or it falls apart in your customer’s hands, it will start costing you money. If quality is important to you, don’t buy the cheapest packaging to present your food.
Is the most expensive the best? Sometimes, but dearer doesn’t always mean better. A product should only be more expensive if it’s quality is superior or materials more expensive e.g. a single wall paper hot cup vs a double-wall paper hot cup. Or plastic cutlery vs wooden or bioplastic cutlery – plastic is a cheaper material so there’s no point comparing the price.
At Sydney Packaging, we stock products that range from budget-friendly right through to custom-made and high-end. But we never compromise on quality. Our reps work with our customers to establish what best meets their needs and the expectations of their customers.
Quality and service has been at the heart of our business since its inception. It’s what sets us apart from our peers and has kept our customer base growing and returning for decades. Are we perfect? No. Do we occasionally make mistakes? Yes. Do we ALWAYS fix our mistakes and learn from them? Absolutely.
